Hello and welcome. I am a qualified cabinetmaker since 2000. During my apprenticeship I studied in Dublin and Cork.

The modern cabinet makers produce many items along with kitchen fitting, bedroom furniture, etc. Although I gained a lot of experience, this  was not what I was looking for. The traditional cabinetmakers designed and built hardwood furniture which is still around today.

Once I was qualified I was determined to learn more, especially about the traditional ways, using hardwood as opposed to manufactured materials and using oil and wax finishes as opposed to lacquers.

Most of my work is 'one off' comissions which is designed by the customer and myself. I also do work from designers to achieve exactly what customer is looking for. I built up many of my own ideas which I keep in stock and sell in my showroom and local fairs and some local outlets.
